“Most companies still run critical operations on fragmented tools and manual workflows,” the team explains. “We built Rearm so teams can describe what they want to automate, connect their data and systems, and deploy AI-powered workflows without having to build custom software from scratch.”
With a team of 14 engineers and managers, Rearm is part of a new generation of startups focused on practical artificial intelligence, tools that replace operational chaos with clarity and control.
The hidden problem inside modern SMEs
No-code platforms promised speed and flexibility. They delivered quick interfaces, but left deeper problems untouched.
“SMEs still struggle with data consistency, business logic, permissions, integrations, and long-term maintainability,” Rearm explains. “Many no-code tools break down once workflows span multiple systems. The result is tool sprawl, manual workarounds, and fragile setups that don’t scale.”
Rearm’s founders came from computer science and robotics, fields where automation must be deterministic, observable, and resilient. That mindset shaped their approach. Instead of automating clicks or building surface-level apps, Rearm models processes, states, and decisions. Artificial intelligence becomes the interface, not the system itself.
In practice, this means companies can automate operations such as order processing, support escalation, invoicing, logistics tracking, or internal approvals without rewriting their infrastructure. Early customers have reported significant reductions in manual work, faster resolution times, and more reliable operations, results that matter to businesses trying to grow with limited resources.
From static integrations to MCP agents
A turning point for Rearm came with the rise of MCP agents, a new integration model that turns tools and services into capabilities an agent can reason about dynamically.
“MCP clicked as soon as it was announced as the first agent tool integration standard,” Rearm says. “Instead of hard-coding integrations, MCP turns tools, data sources, and services into capabilities an agent can reason about. That fundamentally changes how systems are built.”
Traditional integrations are predefined pipes. MCP agents are decision makers. They choose when and how to use tools based on context and rules, which reduces integration complexity and allows systems to adapt as businesses evolve.
For SMEs, this shift is crucial. It means automation that can scale across departments, adapt to new tools, and remain maintainable over time. When Rearm integrated large language models at the orchestration layer, the product evolved from automation software into what the team calls business autopilots, agents capable of running end-to-end workflows reliably.
Why communication became core infrastructure
Automation without communication creates blind spots. Businesses need systems that notify customers, confirm actions, escalate issues, and interact with people in real time. Rearm realized this early.

Today, they use Infobip’s SMS and WhatsApp messaging APIs to power transactional alerts, customer notifications, and automation-driven interactions inside their workflows.
One real-world use case involves automated customer operations. An MCP agent monitors orders, payments, and support signals. When something goes wrong, a failed payment or delayed delivery, the agent decides the next step and sends a message through WhatsApp or SMS. Customers receive updates instantly, can reply with additional information, and the system escalates internally when needed.
The results are faster resolution times, fewer support tickets, and stronger customer trust.
“We needed a messaging platform that was reliable, scalable, and easy to embed into automated workflows,” Rearm explains. “Infobip allowed us to treat messaging as infrastructure rather than an integration headache. It reduced implementation time and improved delivery reliability for our customers.”
