Startup
Lime Booking is an emerging software startup with a focus on service industry. Their software system is designed to simplify the lives of service providers by managing appointments, resources, and customer interactions efficiently. Unlike a platform, it is a versatile system that any service provider can use, regardless of the type of service they offer.
The startup’s mission is to alleviate the administrative burdens that often distract service providers from their core craft. While still a small company, Lime Booking has quickly become a success story, primarily due to its ability to make customers’ lives easier.

Origin
Lime Booking was founded by three co-founders (Marko Zemljarič, Nejc Ekart and Marcel Dover) who knew each other from their academic years, where they participated in numerous hackathons. The idea emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, the founders started a digital agency focusing on social media management and website development.
Soon they noticed that existing online appointment scheduling tools did not meet their needs or those of their clients. This insight led them to conduct extensive market research, including over 100 one-on-one interviews with potential customers. The results have shown that the market needed something better and they were determined to create it.
Thus Lime Booking was born, a product that truly serves the needs of service providers.
Solution
Lime Booking offers a web-based solution that service providers can use to manage appointments, resources, and customer interactions efficiently. The system is not just about booking appointments; it also includes features like automated reminders and follow-up messages, which significantly reduce no-show rates and enhance customer engagement.
Marko states:
One standout feature is the automatic SMS reminders sent a day before appointments, a feature highly appreciated by their clients. The system also supports post-service follow-ups, particularly useful in industries like healthcare and tattooing, where aftercare is crucial.
The system’s user-friendly design and customizable features have made it a favorite among clients, enabling them to focus on their services while Lime Booking handles the logistics. Their focus on automation and customer communication has made it an indispensable tool for many businesses, helping them improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Their journey has been marked by collaboration and support from various partners, including Infobip and its Startup Tribe. Initially, they faced challenges with their previous SMS provider, which led them to Infobip and the partnership proved to be a game-changer, offering reliable SMS services and additional functionalities that enhanced the overall efficiency of Lime Booking’s system.
Marko emphasises:
Not only that Infobip’s 24/7 support and integration capabilities allowed them to scale effectively, particularly as they expanded into new markets. The Startup Tribe has also provided valuable networking opportunities, connecting Lime Booking with other startups and industry experts, further enhancing their growth trajectory.
The collaboration has been mutually beneficial, with Infobip providing the technical and strategic support needed for Lime Booking’s growth.
What’s next
Looking ahead, Lime Booking is focused on expanding its functionalities and reaching new markets. With a solid foundation in Slovenia, the team now aims to penetrate new markets in the Balkan region, with new communication channels to better cater to the preferences of different markets and additional functionalities tailored to various industries. Marko reveals what keeps them going:
