Ordermoon is a hospitality technology platform built to simplify how restaurants operate in an increasingly complex digital environment. Designed as an all-in-one solution, Ordermoon enables restaurants to manage online reservations, digital menus, online orders, and customer interactions through a single system.
Startup
Founded in Bulgaria and shaped by more than a decade of hands-on industry experience, Ordermoon today serves hundreds of hospitality businesses while steadily expanding beyond its home market. Its focus is practical efficiency, reducing operational friction, and helping restaurants save both time and money.
Our goal was never to build just another tool for restaurants, says co-founder Atanas.
We wanted to create something that genuinely makes daily operations easier, without forcing owners to juggle multiple platforms.
Origin
The roots of Ordermoon go back more than fifteen years, long before the platform existed in its current form. The founding team had been working closely with restaurants and bars across Bulgaria, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges small hospitality businesses face.
Over time, a pattern became clear. Restaurants were overwhelmed by fragmented solutions, each solving only one problem while adding cost and complexity. “Everyone thinks building for restaurants is easy,” Atanas explains. “In reality, it is one of the hardest markets because you are working with small businesses that need things to work immediately.”
In 2024, the team decided to rebuild and rebrand the platform with a clear international vision. Ordermoon was born as a new chapter, designed to scale globally while staying grounded in real operational needs. The inspiration also came from the founders’ long-standing involvement in the Bitcoin community, which influenced the platform’s broader economic outlook and future direction.
Solution
One of Ordermoon’s most advanced features is its use of artificial intelligence. Menus can be uploaded simply by scanning them, while AI driven wine recommendations help restaurants guide guests even without trained sommeliers on staff. “We tested the system with real wine experts, and the recommendations were surprisingly accurate,” Atanas says. “It solves a real problem, especially in places with large wine lists.”
Ordermoon has also integrated a Bitcoin Lightning wallet directly into the app, enabling restaurants to accept and manage Bitcoin payments without using third party wallets. This supports the growth of circular economies, particularly in markets such as Bulgaria, the Balkans, and Latin America.
It is about lowering the barrier, Atanas explains. If accepting Bitcoin is simple, more businesses will do it.
Tribe
As Ordermoon scaled its operations, reliable communication with restaurants and end customers became critical. Through Infobip, Ordermoon integrated SMS services to support booking confirmations, order notifications, and customer feedback flows. Restaurants receive instant messages to approve or decline reservations, while guests are kept informed in real time.
SMS works brilliantly for us, says Atanas. It closes the loop between the restaurant and the customer, and it prevents missed bookings or delayed orders.
The platform also uses messaging to support online food orders and post visit feedback, improving customer experience while reducing manual effort for staff.
Beyond the product itself, joining Infobip Startup Tribe gave Ordermoon access to a broader network of founders, mentors, and regional communities.
Being accepted into the Startup Tribe felt like joining a real ecosystem, Atanas notes.
The networking alone opened conversations across the Balkans, and it helped us think bigger about where Ordermoon can go next.
What’s next
Looking ahead, Ordermoon aims to deepen its presence in international markets while strengthening its role in the Bitcoin enabled hospitality space. The team is actively exploring expansion across Latin America, with particular interest in countries such as El Salvador, where digital payments and circular economies are growing rapidly.
I want to see Ordermoon used anywhere there is potential, even in markets that are still developing.
You can feel the optimism in these places, and that energy matters.
The long-term vision is clear. Ordermoon plans to continue helping restaurants accept Bitcoin, pay for services using Bitcoin, and build a treasury that reflects this belief. “We are not just a Bitcoin company,” Atanas concludes. “But we want to be the first choice for businesses that believe in the future and are ready to build it.”
